MY BACKGROUND

My original career focus was in working with children with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder in a k-12 public school setting. Over the years, this expanded into heading up an elementary gifted and talented program to coaching students with disabilities at the college level in how to be successful in school, to being a counselor at our local college and at the same time a school counselor in an elementary school. I became interested in coaching in the early 90's after attending a forum on coaching students with learning disabilities. From that time on, I considered myself a coach. In 2000, I started working with my first official coaching client as I was becoming a credentialed life coach through the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara. Always searching for resources to support my clients, I came across a book called Fearless Living in April of 2001 that had just been released.

I saw Fearless Living as a resource for others and found it to be invaluable to me for my own growth and learning. Every page spoke to me and totally fit with my philosophy. For the first time I had tools to take the concepts in my head and put them to practice. These principles and tools changed my life. In 2002, I had the opportunity to become a mentor with Fearless Living as well as the opportunity to officially launch the Fearbuster Group Leader Program. From 2004-2006 I was co-director of the Fearless Living Coaching Program and was highly involved as a facilitator for the FLI workshops.
I am currently involved in FLI's evolution into ICF credentialing, personal coaching, and mentoring. I am a facilitator for the Finding Financial Freedom Workshop that I present with my husband who is also a life coach.
